Trick or Treat—Tip and Discount

Trick or Treat—Tip and Discount

Trick-or-treating has been around for quite some time. People used to knock on house doors and ask for a treat, and if they didn’t get a treat, they would play a trick on the homeowners or the property. Today most of us just walk away if the homeowner is out of candy, because we have learned etiquette and politeness. Tricking people is just mean, which is why Chirp is going to change the way people trick or treat this year. We’re going to give you some tricks (the good kind) on how to get rid of your back pain and neck pain. And then, at the end of the blog we’ll give you a special treat. Read to the end to find out what it is, or just scroll down if you’re that excited.

Tricks:

Exercise and stretch:

Exercise and stretching can help with both back pain and neck pain. As you exercise, your muscles are strengthened so that they can hold up your back and head better. Stretching can then loosen up tight muscles and prevent muscle strain or tearing. Exercising and stretching also promote healing to sore muscles because blood flows to the tired muscles quicker and helps flush out toxins or heal knots. Take some time each day for some quick and easy exercises and stretches to heal your back and neck pain.

Fix your posture:

One of the main causes of both back and neck pain is poor posture. Stand, sit, walk, and run with good posture. Good posture means keeping your spine straight. If you’re sitting down, sit up straight and adjust your chair so that your knees are slightly under your hips. When you’re standing, keep your pelvis tucked forward instead of sticking your butt out. These things can gradually help relieve your pain.

Sleep in the right position:

For back pain, try sleeping with a pillow between your legs when you’re on your side. This position will help keep your spine straight. When you’re sleeping on your back, put a pillow under your knees to relieve tension in your lower back. Try not to sleep on your stomach if you have back pain or neck pain. For neck pain, make sure you have a pillow that will support your neck by keeping your spine straight. Sleeping in these positions will help eliminate your back and neck pain.

Listen to your favorite songs:

To help yourself manage pain during the day, listen to songs that you love. Focusing on something other than your pain can help you forget about that throbbing in your neck or back. Keeping your mind off the negative and on the positive will help improve your mood and will help you relax. It’s possible that stress is causing muscle tension and pain. When you relax, your pain just might go away.

Press on acupressure points:

Acupressure is an ancient Chinese belief that one can access energy in the body by pressing on certain points throughout the body, ultimately helping the body heal itself. Today Western medicine uses this belief through acupuncture, but you can access points in your body just by using your fingers to press on the acupressure point. Check out how to access these acupressure points here.

Focus on food:

Visualizing your favorite meal when your back really hurts can help you forget about the pain, just like listening to your favorite song can help. There are also foods that you can eat to minimize inflammatory pain, such as berries, sweet potatoes, and leafy greens.
