How to Balance on a Chirp Wheel

Have you ever used our Chirp Wheel and felt like you were going to topple over onto the ground? You’re not alone, and there are ways to stop toppling. You might be rolling out your back incorrectly. But don’t worry. I’m here to help.

1. Sit on the ground with your knees bent and feet firmly on the ground. Place the Chirp Wheel against your back, and while holding onto the wheel, gently lie back. For first time use, just relax. Stay in this position for about 3 minutes.

2. After those 3 minutes, rest your upper back on top of the wheel with it between your shoulder blades. Still holding onto the wheel for support, lift your butt off the floor. Stay in this position for 3 minutes and relax.

3. When you think you’re ready, start to roll back by bending and straightening your legs. It will be a forward and backward motion. This is when some people lose balance. To maintain your balance as you roll, keep your hands on the ground at your sides or keep hold of the wheel for support as you roll.

4. If you still have trouble balancing while keeping your hands on the ground, consider trying yoga to increase your balance and flexibility.
